Winterplace Ski Resort

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Winterplace Ski Resort. Yes, it was a busy holiday weekend with massive crowds and less-than-ideal weather—but honestly, that made the experience even more impressive. The staff was phenomenal across the board. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. You could tell they worked hard all day to make sure rules were followed, lines moved efficiently, and guests were actually having fun. Food service was fast and well organized, and the same goes for rentals and ticketing—smooth, efficient, and stress-free, even with the crowds. The slopes were well maintained throughout the day, and staff consistently monitored lift entrances and exits to keep everything safe and running properly. What really stood

We had a great time. I would recommend not to go during MLK weekend especially if it’s your first trip. The easy slopes at the very beginning get very congested as many church groups and other large groups are also there for the weekend. If you’ve never been before, it’s quite a bit overwhelming once you get inside. We got checked and there was no one to guide us on what to do next. There were no signs for ski boots vs snowboard boots. There wasn’t a flow for what to do next, you just walked around till you figured it out. The only helpful associate inside was the guy getting forms signed before you get your skis/boards. The young boys getting equipment for people were having a great time cutting up with each other but not helping the customers. I think a bit more direction for first time

Winterplace is the best beginner/intermediate skier resort. We enjoy our day every time we go. The staff is great and friendly. The food is not my favorite so typically we pack our own and eat in the parking lot during breaks. Views and slopes are great. Perfect variety of routes to not get bored and still be challenged.

We had the best experience at Winterplace. This was our third year as a group and it is a treat each time. I am pretty sure her name was Tammy, but she helped us with group deals. She was so kind and so helpful. Tammy, I hope you know how much you are appreciated. If you have never visited Winterplace, put it on your to-do list!

We recently enjoyed a fantastic ski trip to Winterplace Ski Resort, and it checked so many boxes for a relaxed, family-friendly getaway. Visiting on a weekday meant wonderfully low crowds, which made everything from lift lines to time on the runs feel easy and unhurried. All of the runs were open and the lifts were spinning, so there was plenty of variety and no sense of limitation. A special highlight was our ski instructor, Brooklyn, who was absolutely awesome—patient, encouraging, and great at building confidence, especially for newer skiers. While the food prices were on the higher side (as expected at most resorts), the quality was solid and hit the spot after a cold morning on the slopes. Add in how convenient the resort is right off I-77, and Winterplace really stands out as an acce
