Windsor Motel

I would like to support small independent operators, but in this case I have to mark the hotel down because they still allow smoking in the rooms, meaning your room will have some level of odor from prior use. The laundry also isn't getting the towels completely white and spotless. On the good side, the bed was comfortable and the WiFi was working, if a bit slow (possibly fixed later in the night)

The people there are very respectful and kind and pet friendly they also make sure your comfortable during your visit definitely will be going back

Sink and tub have not been upgraded in years. Repairs have not been done professionally. Front desk not staffed full-time but apparently available by phone. Mattress was comfortable and it was quiet. Reservations are probably never needed. Only place I found to stay in Windsor, NC. Allowed my noncertified dog for a small fee.

I guess you can say everything was okay besides the fact we found 3 cockroaches within the first 30 seconds of being there. I gotta give them credit too for making sure my bed covers smelled like Marlboro Reds. I had to sleep in a snow suit with a face mask for the sake of keeping the bed bugs away. Oh well it was comfy and I enjoyed the 70s bar smell and environment.

This is easily hands down the worst motel I've ever been too the smell of cigarettes stuck to my clothes for days after this experience. I felt like I was in the movie wrong turn. I'm just truly grateful that I don't have bed bugs. On the plus the AC worked great except for when you turned it on it smelled like garbage being burned and burnt hair.
