Windrose on Hudson

We recently hosted a business conference at Windrose on Hudson and had an excellent experience. The property itself is beautiful and creates a great atmosphere for both meetings and relaxing after the day’s sessions. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall setting along the Hudson makes it a unique place for a work event. A special thank you to William Romero, who did an outstanding job ensuring our conference went off without a hitch. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and professionalism made the entire event run smoothly. Highly recommend this property for both business events and personal stays. Look forward to returning in the future.

This is an absolutely beautiful property in what is sort of a hotel desert. We have traveled for many, many years to this area on Thanksgiving to visit family - every single year - and have never been able to find our go-to hotel. The Windrose On Hudson just became The One. We are picky hotel guests, but we're also able to adjust our expectations to the area, price, and type of hotel we're in at any moment. This hotel exceeded expectations in most respects. The physical property, buildings, grounds, and even the rooms are really, really lovely. Contrary to other reviews here, there ARE fridges in rooms (we were not one-off lucky; we rented three rooms on our stay, and all had fridges) but there is NO coffee in-room. I think this is a gorgeous place, loved the grounds, looks like there’s lots to do …. However right now it seems it’s geared towards business groups during the week and family functions on the weekends and all of that is well & good. I was kind of disappointed however in the “sparseness” of the rooms, as if they don’t give a thought to couples just traveling for leisure. No fridge in room, a lone bottle of water on the desk in the room to welcome you, bare minimum of towels in the bathrooms - everything before you get to your room speaks luxury - the price, the public spaces, the grounds and then the room itself is a letdown —- I’d come back again but just saying it could be better ….. i almost forgot to mention breakfast too was excellent - so a 9 out of 10 - just needs a little more to

I appreciated the kind reception staff upon check-in. However, our overall experience was disappointing.We had originally booked a double room suitable for a family of four. At check-in, we were unexpectedly informed that due to a system error, a double bed was no longer available, and we were instead provided with an extra bed. Unfortunately, the extra bed was uncomfortable, and the blanket was too thin, leaving us cold throughout the night. If we had traveled with two children instead of one, this arrangement would have been unacceptable. While the building is gorgeous and the grounds are beautiful (especially in the fall), don't be deceived. As most the reviews stated, there are no amenities in the room. No coffee maker, no fridge or microwave, and the TV looked like a small computer monitor hooked up to a cable box. There was a little "Grab and Go" area with soda, juice, and coffee but it was a pretty far walk from where our room was. We were told of this "kitchenette" thing that we could use but we couldn't get access and apparently no one else could either. We checked out the River Fox to grab a drink and play some pool, which half the sticks were bent and the table lining was ripped in a few places. The last night we stayed, there was some event going on which had us circling the parking lots a few times for a spot. W
