The cabin was great but it had no stove. The camp site was basic. Did offer a game of bingo and singer for activities. Went onto the bar ,"what do you want!" I think Staff could use some training. Would have been nice to have a small store on site for forgotten items. There are no signs: office, exit, the different driveways, thanks for coming. No wifi access.
Talk about rude. The owner lost his temper over a car going no faster than a bike. Yelling at a family in a car. Clearly not an inviting place. Would not recommend! The owner yelled, screamed, chased the family down. Then proceeded to block their entry literally 2/10 of a mile into the campground. If this is how they treat their guests, I won’t be coming back. A wiseman once said, “Treat others how you wish to be treated.”
Very nice campground. They are doing alot of renovations, making more sites & a pool. Place is clean, people are very friendly. Went with my grandson & had a great time. Hoping to go back in August to spend more time there. Definitely will go again next year, can't wait to see all the improvements. I wish I could have met the owners to inquire more about the campground & thank them for the awesome job they are doing. We really did like the The Wilson Lake Campground
Nice lake and surroundings, very un-level camp sites, employees don't know how to do things or how to answer questions. Only book for the weekend and if you want to stay longer, extend it. If you cut your stay short, you wont get a refund. You may not like it. Most of the people just wouldn't even say good morning when I passed them by. Unfriendly place for single women campers. Had some unsavory people drive slowly by my campsite and spit out their window towards me. I suspect they thought i was LGBTQ. This would mean it is unsafe for that community. Very cliquish. I won't be back.
Stopped in to take a tour of the campground to scope out if I wanted to camp there. Jamie assisted in answering the questions that I had. When the time avails itself I will go camping there. I found the campground has new owners. They are spending a bunch of money to rejuvenate and expand the campground. There was new electrical infrastructure having been recently installed. There is ongoinghas renovations to the mechanical systems for the showers. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and sanitary. The cabins, although I did not tour them showed signs of recent renovation work. The campground was very neat and tidy. The lake front was very attractive. There was children's playground equipment available. The facility had about 75 camping trailers in the sites, making it attractive
