Wilotree Park & Paradise Airsports

Visited this park for the laser / drone / hot air balloon show and had a fantastic time. Booked this for my husband who loves anything with drones and the show did not disappoint. The parks expanse over a large area was able to hold the large turnout for the event without feeling overly crowded. There were a variety of food trucks, enough to satisfy a wide variety of tastes. A large tent offered a full bar offering a selection of tasty libations all at a reasonable price. The laser and drone part of the show was spectacular, captivating the crowds attention with visual awe. The only caveat to the experience was leaving the venue, as lines of cars waiting to leave made for a snails pace exit. Great place very friendly staff. Lots of fun. They have hang gliders that you can take a ride in and they got people hang gliding and towing hang lighters up and stuff like that and we’re here with a tiny campers and we kind of invaded the place and they’re putting up with us and we appreciate it. Definitely a place to come back to. If you’re looking for a place just to get away, they have regular camper sites as well as primitive camping around the lake.

My friends and I visited the Laser, Drone and Balloon Festival on Saturday. The festivities began ridiculously late at 9pm. 7pm would have been much better. The lasers were amazing, the drones were fascinating, but the balloons left much to be desired. We believe $30 apiece was an extremely high price for this festival. We won't return next year.

I rented a local Airbnb camper and got it delivered to Wilotree for a two weeks hang glider competition. This park is just incredible, even if you are not into any air sports. I got the camper hooked up to electricity and water. Having a propane tank, I could make dinners, have hot showers, and use camper AC. On the days we did not fly, I could swim in the pond or the pool, with much more. Even if you are not a hang glider pilot, and you need a stress-free break from your study, work, or other, I highly recommend this Florida park. It has it all, including a laundry room. The park also has a clubhouse with a TV, pool table, and rooms for rent. If you want to explore air sports, sign up for a tandem flight. We attended a New Year’s party here and it was amazing. Not only the people running the park are great, the place is beautiful with bathrooms and showers, kayaks, and even a swing on the lake. Will definitely be back with my family.
