Willard Mountain

First time out here on December 20th 2025. The staff are very friendly. There were only two trails open and the runs were quick. Due to the rain fall the previous two days there was not alot of snow, but it was fun!! I would recommend this pls for families and or beginners learning to ski or snowboard. Plenty of time to enjoy the moment at the top of the Mt. with spacious views as far as the eyes can see.

I am a beginner skier. I skied a bit when I was a kid, but stopped after a couple years. I did not know where to start, until I came across Willard. What brought me to Willard was the proximity to Saratoga Springs (30ish mins) and the affordable prices. This place is a class act and has that warm familiar old-school feel. I signed up for the 6 week course and the whole process was pretty easy. For 600 bucks I am pretty much set to Ski throughout the winter (they have packages with less ski lift time for less money). I get a lesson , rentals, and 8 hours of skiing every Saturday for six weeks. I can continue to ski with my pass for the same time allotment until the package converts to a season pass later in the season for free. It was a lovely experience learning ski in Willard Mountain. The teachers are very friendly and insightful. I am grateful for the skill I got to achieve and experience through here.

Great staff, great skiing, great experience! We had a private lesson for our 10 yr old. Everything about the experience was fantastic. The booking and scheduling was easy and everyone was so helpful. From booking to checkin was seamless. We had wonderful lesson and a great day on the slopes! My son’s first experience with skiing couldn’t have been better!

This is a small ski resort, with just one ski lift and one carpet and another beginner area. For beginners like us it was great. Take into consideration to here's 1/4 of a mile crossing between the beginner's area to the intermediate area - it was not fun to cross country that distance. We took a private ski lesson that was totally unhelpful - unfortunately we had a ski instructor who did very little instructing and didn't give us much needed attention. Will consider coming back, not sure about another ski lesson.
