We rented a standard cabin for our annual visit to my wife's Mom's grave at Quantico cemetery the second week of January as they allowed us to bring our 5 well behaved rescue pups with us. We drove 12 hours up from Florida and arrived in early evening. The cabin looked nicely appointed inside. After bringing in all our luggage and supplies we showered and went to bed. The shower was disappointing as it kept changing from cold to warm. Not pleasant when it's cold outside and you're looking forward to a warm shower. After we went to bed we were forced to listen to the air conditioning/heat pump compressor secured to outside the house not 2 feet from your head laying in bed. The bedroom had no heat other than a noisy space heater that we also had to listen to. We decided to try sleepi

I travelled all the way from California and stayed a night (Feb 24, 2026) in Wilderness Presidential Resort, weather was 35f at night and cabin 21 AC was not working. We called the office, they sent someone to fix it, and it was fixed. But again around midnight it was broken again and till the morning it was not working at all.

Godfrey and Pamela Jenkins I’m posting this because I’m hoping to shed light on our situation. When we first signed up for Wilderness Presidential, it seemed like a great idea, but it’s become a headache. We haven’t actually set foot on the property or used the timeshare in fifteen years, yet our maintenance fees have somehow managed to double in that time. It’s reached the point where this isn't a "vacation" anymore; it’s just a bill that we don't want to pass down to our kids. We’ve already reached out to the resort about getting rid of it, and they told us to try listing it on their bulletin board. That isn’t what we’re looking for. We have no interest in trying to sell this —we just want the resort to take the deed back and cancel our membership once and for all. It’s no longer a ben

The beach is covered in goose poop. The staff working there is suppose to clean it everyday. This does not happen. I took my family there last week and asked the employee working to please clean up the goose poop. At that point he had already been on the clock for two hours and not even started cleaning it up. He was polite but wasn't really moving efficiently. I asked him to at least clean up the poop where my kids were playing. He did clean up that very small section and then went back into the boat rental cabin. He didn't bother cleaning up the poop from the rest of the beach or sidewalks. We experienced biting flies on the beach that day. That's the first time in the four years of going there we've experienced that. I'm sure the flies are there now because of the goose poop that just s

Stayed at cabin 22 on cool spring lake. Was pleased with the cabin. The couch could be replaced. Everything else was above and beyond for a wooden log cabin. But was very disappointed to wake up and look across the lake to see trash in the water.
