Customer Reviews
If you're into mechanical things, you'll love this close-up, hands-on experience with the 185,000lb retired Turbine from Ameren Powerhouse Unit 5 that gave over 100 years of faithful service.
As far as the park goes, it's a park.. I went because the park has a campground ... so that is what my review is based on. I've spent 3 years traveling the country and stopping at places to camp and this is the first $30.00 city park campground that I've ever come across. There is electric and a dump station ( which is $5 if not camping ) there is a nice Frisbee golf course and a few play areas .. but there is no geode collecting allowed ( signs are posted ). There is a shower and toilet that those who are camping can use but it is a long but walkable distance from the campground and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't lock the door .. so I was not able to use it. The parking pads are level and the picnic tables are not .. it was impossible to find the rate online but I never would
I love the scenes I love the beauty of its nature the wildlife the trails it really brings me tg when I need it most definitely most people who go out here are also kind and genuine ppl well most of them but do becarful it is a pretty place but at night jus becarful bc no matter if it's state park it's still the woods
We really enjoyed this park. We basically spent most of the time hiking the trail and looking for geodes. They are EVERYWHERE….everyone found a bunch. If the weather would have been warmer we likely would have let the kids play in the water also.
This is a great park! Seemed fairly well maintained with some rough trails. Very pretty area. Fun and surprisingly easy to find geodes.
