Wildcat Campground

This place is perfect for all ages, big or small families, large or small groups. So many hiking trails and the creek goes around the campground with a trail along side. Everyone there was so friendly and nice. Had the best time! This was our 2nd great experience here. Our 1st great experience was a camp out birthday party for my son in 2019.

Camped here several times and always had a great time. Stayed there last night, parked close to the entrance to the gravel road and hiked in because I wasn't sure of it's condition. It's better than it was last time I stayed and was passable by a Toyota Corolla. Nice fire ring where I pitched my tent and there was plenty of of fallen limbs to use. Cold but quiet night listening to the creek.

It’s a hidden gem! Shaded trail along the river side all the way and fantastic falls at the end of the trail. Very peaceful and quiet. Dipping in the chill water was the best reward for the 5 miles out and back trail. It was little challenge to walk on the deep inclines. But definitely worth it!

We went to wildcat campground and purchased fishing licenses in order to hike (they told us it was cheaper than the alternative). Free for 16 and under. we really enjoyed the trails in there, but finding good info about them was difficult.

The road is steep and a little rough. I would not try taking a camper trailer unless it was small like a pop up or a teardrop. The road is one way. If you meet someone on it. Someone is backing out.
