Wigwam General Store

The Wigwam General Store is a country store and restaurant that is located at the intersection of US 31-E and Kentucky 218 at the Historic Wigwam Village #1 Built in 1935. The store has a rustic country appearance mainly because of the wooden floor porch that goes down two sides of the building. The inside of the store is split with the store items on the left side and the restaurant on the right side. I had breakfast with 2 biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and sausage. The breakfast was good the service was quick and professional. The cost was just a little over 7 dollars and with a large drink I believe that was very reasonable with today’s prices. The place was clean and neat. I would have to recommend this place. If you’re in the area stop by and check them out.

my friend and i come to this location on the 10th of every month on the way to go pay our rent and we both order a tuna sandwich. the sandwich is amazing which is why we stop by here every month but every time we’ve came the staff has been off putting and rude. when we walk in there it feels like we’re being heavily judged and they act like we’re an annoyance when we try to order. i don’t understand why they act like that towards us specifically but it makes us very uncomfortable since all we do every time we go in there is order 2 tuna sandwiches?? seeing the way they act towards other customers compared to us is drastically different. with us it’s like they’re disgusted and annoyed but they’re very warm and welcoming to everyone else

I hadn't been out this way in a few years, was very grateful for a clean restroom and a nice variety in the convenience store. The lunchenette was about to close, but nice to know you can get a meal instead of just prepackaged foods.

Foods ok. Cheap. They stay busy.
