Poorly taken care of and neglected. For some reason, the gate is locked despite time of day or season. There are abandoned picnic tables, barrels, and grills further down the trail. Footpaths that lead to a creek nearby are worn goat paths.
Small sized park. Not easy to spot from the road. Small parking lot only good for about 8-10 vehicles, although you will find more often than not you will have the place to yourself. One main trail that dead ends about a half mile back in the woods. Very pretty views of the forest. There are smaller, unmarked trails that criss cross throughout the park and take you alongside the creek. One picnic table and grill are available here as well.
Great mushroom foraging, and no hunting, so safe place to walk and relax.
Beautiful experience! Dog friendly!
