While we enjoyed the people the fact that if u sign a year lease in April, May, June, you have to be out by March!! How is that even legal? So I signed my lease April 7th but have to be out March 1st!? Makes no sense
We got there after the office closed on Saturday. Found our papers and proceeded to our site. It was filthy with pine cones and needles. No grass for our dogs. The fire pit was full of trash. It rained while we were in this space and pine tree sap got on everything! I called, texted, emailed all the numbers even the after hours ER number. Nobody would answer us or one said I just answer the phone. Finally in Tuesday the office opened and we were moved to a space with no pine trees. 2 weeks later we are still trying to get pine sap off our RV and our new car! Not very happy!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Whispering Pines Campground. The campground is laid out nicely. It was not overcrowded. We loved watching the sunset on the bay. Staff members, Brenda and Donna, were very helpful during our stay. The bath house was especially nice with individual showers. The laundry room was the nicest we have seen at a campground. The campground is conveniently located to great shopping and there is lots to do in the area. We would recommend Fort Macon State Park. The beaches there are beautiful. Take a Ferry to Cape Lookout National Seashore. Alttend the Beaufort Community Market. The town of Beaufort is a beautiful seaside town with many great restaurants. We will definitely be back to Whispering Pines Campground!
Nice campground in a great location. The staff are very friendly & helpful. The campground is well maintained. Not really anything for young kids to do in this campground. The pool wasn't opened while we were there but maintenance work was being done on it to open. The laundry room was always neat & clean. We definitely enjoyed this campground & if in the area would return to it.
We stayed here for 8 days. Very quiet and peaceful. We've seen more geese than people. Close proximity to everything. We enjoyed our daily walk and run. The grounds are well maintained and clean. Keep away from site 23B to 24B. It's tight for big rigs. And go spend some time at their pier to watch the sunrise and enjoy Bogue sounds in the afternoon. Donna is delightful and very friendly. We are coming back here again.
