Whispering Pines Motel

Did I die? No. Did I get bedbugs? I don’t think so. Would I stay again? Absolutely not… The man running it was very nice and it was conveniently located along our route. I just wish that I could hear less traffic and that it didn’t smell like cigarettes. It would have also been nice to feel comfortable enough to walk barefoot in the room and to take a shower. Next time we will keep driving.

Don’t even stop, just keep driving to the next town, trust me it’s worth it. Where do I even start?? Don’t get me wrong, the woman that checked us in was very sweet…. But she’s the only nice thing about this motel. The outside is dirty, the inside is just as bad. Cat laying on the counter upon check in. She offered us VHS tapes and then said there are VHS players in each room…. I accidentally when to room 9 instead of room 8, and the key also opened the room next door… Upon opening the door I said… “where’s the AC”… there was a fan… not helpful when it’s 90 degrees out. The room smelled terrible and looked just as bad. It had what I assume as all the original decor, shag carpet, old school TV (with VHS!). Bugs everywhere. I killed eight spiders in the tub and a big spider on the floor in the bedroom. The water would not go down the drain in the tub. The beds were hard and very uncomfortable and one of the beds had a long hair on the sheets which certainly was not ours. The toilet was very stained and there was no way of knowing if it was cleaned. The curtains would not close all the way and were falling down some. When I called to reserve my room I asked the lady at the motel if she gave any discount to veterans and she said, sure I can give you 10% off, but when I got to the motel, I asked the guy checking me in about the discount and he snapped back at me and said, we don’t give discounts.

If you ever want to go back in time this is the place. We loved it! Rooms were like you were back in the late 70s they have VCRs and a wall of movies to choose from for free. It was nice and quiet. The rooms aren't five star but it's a cool place to get a cheap room for the night in the lady there is hella sweet. We will definitely pass up Klamath falls to stay here as it's half the price and less of a hassle

I had the pleasure of staying at this terrific motel last night. Yes, exterior appearance a bit shabby, but this adds to its charm for me. Check in was seamless. There was a large friendly dog to greet you as well as the helpful gentleman. I was in room#5 which sported a clean, comfortable king size bed. There were 2 extra blankets. There was a vintage day bed as well that could have slept 2 small children. The beautiful wood walls and ceiling were spectacular. The place had a mini-fridge, a microwave, TV and VCR player with free movies to checkout at the office. I needed a mug to heat water in the microwave and the nice guy in the office quickly produced one for my use. I slept a full nine hours. In the morning, I realized I had left my car doors unlocked and it was packed a bunch. Not a
