I had booked a room on hotels.com. And paid for it online. The owner insisted that they were not getting paid and that I needed to pay her. So I did. My card was still charged, and I had gone back and told her I was still charged and she did not evem offer to refund my money. (So I ate the cost myself!)This time I had a dog, so we paid the pet deposit. The dog had gotten sick and puked. We cleaned it up immediately. And she stated that now she's going to have to charge me another $100 for what I had already given a pet deposit for. All I see is greed, and them trying to get whatever they can whether it's rightfully theirs or not, I would recommend going to jasper or deritter, or wherever you have to, to avoid this place! And one last thing.... get away from people that don't smoke with yo

The experience was ok, but the lady that runs the office is never in the office. At least for the week I stayed. She smokes outside all day. I stayed a week and watched a young lady cleaning the bath house and clean some rooms throughout my stay. She was polite and stayed busy.and a tall gentleman worked from sunrise to dark every day I believe he may be a groundsman \ maintenance man. It seemed the office lady cleaned or left the office frequently as every time I went to the office the door was locked and the young Hispanic boy just walked around looking like he couldn't wait to get off. Not sure what his job title would be but if I do say from my observation I don't think he does much of anything. .you can tell he hates working there. The office woman will blow smoke directly in your f

Me and my wife went here for a honeymoon, they gave us a discount which now to think about it we see why.. when we got there everything was fine.. quiet environment, noone in the pool, the AC was working fine blowing cold air, mini fridges both worked nice and the shower ran perfectly. But when we were done swimming and just wanted to come in our room and relax, maybe watch some TV so we go looking for the remote and nearly didn't find it. When we found the remote the TV didn't even turn on,no picture or sound. At night the AC completely turned off and wouldn't turn back on it was so hot we ended up leaving in the middle of the night, and in our shower one of the handles was about to fall completely off,not to mention the toilet paper there was very rough and not soft. If your going to give

A friend and I stayed at Whispering creek for a week for work. We were working in Deridder, LA at the paper mill for a 7 day turnaround. Booking a room was a simple over the phone task, when we arrived the lady helping us in the office was an absolute sweetheart she helped us set up our room for the night and the cabin for the rest of our stay. The room was more then expected, it was very clean and organized. This place is nested in the country and there were no bugs in the room at all (crickets, fly's, etc..) There is a nice little laundry room on the park we used to wash our clothes, that was a big plus for me. Saving me time from going somewhere else to try to wash clothes after working a 12 hour shift. We moved over to the cabin Tuesday night and stayed in the cabin for 6 nights and le

I seriously can't understand the good reviews. We booked a "deluxe cabin" here 🤣. The lady at the counter was nice, not really fluent in English though, but okay. She didn't give us the wifi code, because as it turns out, wifi is really bad out here ("because of the weather"). Meh. The rooms first impression was: dated. When we looked closer it wasn't just that, it was dirty and not well maintained. One of the two beds had an infestation of spiders. First we thought bed bugs, but no, 🕷️. Everything else was also pretty dirty and run down. Just look at the pictures. Also, the booking said "breakfast included". When we came up to the office on a Sunday morning it said "not open until 2 pm due to worshipping". Thank you. I really can't recommend this place. Sorry.
