Whiskers Campground

It's a relatively well maintained 9 mile road out to the campground. Nice water areas to swim nearby. One of the bathrooms was shut down for maintenance. Not crowded at all

We intended on camping at Whiskers for 2 nights, but decided to cut our trip short after one night. Here is a list of the pluses and minuses of Whiskers when we were there. Pluses: The campground is secluded and the sites are a good size. The sites are nicely shaded with flat spots for tents. There are trails leading down to a really nice fishing/swimming hole area. Minuses: The place was packed full of people. If you're looking to get away from hustle and bustle, Whiskers isn't the place to go. There were several large parties of families there - it was loud and crowded. We were in the back of the campground in site #5 and people very rudely walked back and forth through our site to get to the water, despite other access points. Very annoying when you're chilling by your fire and people

No cell phone reception, good way to disconnect
