Whetstone Bay Lodge by Venserra

Very quiet, clean, peaceful, affordable and conveniently located. I would give this local gem an A+ for all of the above. As for the town of Bonesteel, it is also quiet and clean. There is a convenience/grocery store right across the street from the motel that is open late and is also affordable. I travel through the area for work and will now make this my end of day spot when I'm able to

This isn't a luxury hotel but it was EXACTLY what we needed. Checking in and out was extremely easy and quick and did not even require speaking with anyone. We were sent room access via phone. It was very very quiet. We were able to work on their wifi. It was located 30 seconds from the client I was there to train. 20 minutes away from the casino, the dam, and 30 minutes away from some nice small restaurants in the opposite direction. Across the street from the grocery store and a GREAT little coffee shop 1 block away. I could've walked there. I challenge anyone to beat the price and convenience if you need lodging in bonesteel.

This Area has some beautiful scenery, the Bonesteel, Fairfax is as country as it gets. The room was a little small for 2 but it was functional and perfect for what I needed. The people in the area are friendly so strike up a conversation and enjoy the stay!!! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Whetstone in the future!

Run-down, the building is in disrepair. Littered and dirty outside. Room had very strong odor of cigarette smoke that they attempted to cover with air freshener. We didn't stay. We went to Burke and got a room at L Two Lodging. Much better accommodation s. Very clean, the room was freshly renovated and modern.

This place was above and beyond amazing!!!! We absolutely LOVED IT! I was able to check in late at night self serve, and the bungalow was a dream come true! I will most definitely be going back there again! :) check out time is way too early though, it should definitely be at least 11am or even noon, only because the bed is so ridiculously comfortable, I could not get out of it in the morning! Even the shower is amazing! :) thanks so much.
