Wheatland Motel

Owner is an absolute sweetheart. Family owned and operated. The nicest motel I have ever stayed in. Surprisingly clean, nice beds, cable TV, decent wifi, quiet and cozy. Very good value for your money too. Definitely would return. 6 stars!

The owner was amazing - stayed late to check us in and fixed a small maintenance issue very quickly. Any time you are going to Lucas Oil Speedway stay here - you won't regret it!

We were charged 80 bucks for a double queen room. Apparently since we had a 3rd person, in their eyes, it justified a price increase. I'm completely at a loss as to how they justify it since there is no breakfast included and we were using both beds anyway. The rooms smell old and are plain with no decorations at all. A little sprucing up and decorating would really benefit this place. The room was clean but that's about the only positive thing.

Our van broke down across the street in the evening so we decided to get a room for the night and deal with it in the morning. Unfortunately the Wheatland motel did not have any vacancies but the husband and wife owners called another motel close by and helped us book a room. Then he even gave us a ride to the other motel. We will definitely give them our business if we are ever in need again. We were so thankful to meet people with such kindness.

Stayed 4 nights in a 2 double bed room. Room, shower and toilet were spotless. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Heat works as it should, plenty of hot water. Laid back, relaxing stay. Not a place if you're looking for night life.
