Western States Inn San Miguel

We stayed recently and there were not many options. I went in with very low expectations but I was presently surprised. The rate was fairly low (I called rather than book online, about $77 vs $131) and the room was large enough, certainly dated but habitable. Everything worked and the bed was comfy. Not much around this area and the gas station nearby closes early. But I'd stay there again if necessary. ||||The front desk guy was nice and helpful.

Location and service were beyond ideal for the price and service. Reserved room online, didn't realize it was for 2 beds. The manager recommended an appropriate room (1bed) and service earned a star. 10 minutes from Paso Robles.

If you are near the area and need a cheap place to stay this is a great option. The rooms are old, though mostly clean. The towel, blankets, and beds are all very old and slightly worn out but they will do the job. If you are looking for a fancier stay this may not be the place for you.

I was traveling on business to San Miguel which is about 10 minutes from the much larger Paso Robles. This is serious wine country so most of the Paso Robles brand name hotels were booked with travelers. So, I decided to give this place a try. Check in went smoothly and I was pleasantly surprised with my room. Pretty good amount of parking space which was important to me. Most of the other patrons were obviously "workers" that were already on the job when I left the following morning. However, I found this a great location to walk to the nearby Spanish Mission for which the town was named as well as a wonderful Mexican restaurant across the street. There was also a filling station/convenience store nearby. I thought this was a great value and would be a terrific place to return to w
