Western Motel

We stayed here two times. Once on our way to and once on our way from our New Mexico vacation. The motel was clean and comfortable. The owner was very accommodating when we had to cut our vacation short due to the impending ice and snow storm and stay two days earlier than originally booked. It's a quaint little motel in the middle of nowhere.

If you want a bed and a shower, nothing more... this place is good enough. Anything more than that and this is not your place. The rooms are about 30 years overdue for renovations and the entire facility is tired and worn down. The TV is straight out of the 1980's and the picture quality is unwatchable. The wifi was the only amenity that belong in this century, everything else was grossly outdated. ||||There aren't many other options in the area, but I can't recommend this place in good faith to anyone. Camp, drive on, unless desperate... then like I said... it's serviceable at best.

Before I checked in, I asked the manager is the Wi-Fi strong enough to work with and he tells me yes when I get to the room check the Wi-Fi was OK and I checked in and realized the Wi-Fi is so slow it’s like there’s no Wi-Fi. Reflected to the manager, but there’s nothing he could do. He tried to do something but nothing worked. if you just staying overnight because you’re so tired and you gotta leave first thing in the morning it’s all right, but this is not really nice rest stop. I don’t think I will revisit this motel again. Sorry to say before I leave I told a female manager on duty that morning, they may want to improve their Wi-Fi for the customers. If will bring them more business, all gift back was a rough “OK”! I guess that’s how they run the business. Sad .

Do not stay at this Motel. It is a dump Water barely dripped out. Wash clothes were dirty Chairs were dirty. Metal on the ends of the bed could be felt by your legs. The room smelled like mole This room has not been updated since 1950 or so. People are lying about the reviews. Please beware. I beg you

My stay was awesome, it's old school and nostalgic and I loved it. The service was great, Charley greeted me and was so nice. It was peaceful and I got the rest that I really needed. This will be my place to stay every time I visit I won't be waking up at 3am getting ready and driving 3 1/2 hrs to sit and visit for 8hrs and drive another 3 1/2 hrs back home, this hotel is just 30mins from where i visit a family member. Now i can get a full night's rest. It makes my trip much safer. thanks Charley!
