Western Motel of Quitman

This was our oasis during Hurricane Milton. They accept pets for a small fee. It was a very clean room when we needed it most. There's a large hot tub in the room, we didn't use it on our one night but it was spotless. Shower w/tub & toilet in bathroom. Sink in the back of the actual hotel room. Pretty standard for a Jacuzzi room (allegedly). It's a family run place, everyone was kind & friendly. Includes muffins and bottled water in the office in the morning for the ride out.

The staff was great. Very nice and courteous! Room was nice and clean. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room as we were in town visiting friends. Nice quite place to stay if you are looking for a good priced room. We travel a lot and this is one of the nicer "cheap" motels that we have stayed in. Would stay here again when we are back in the area!

Stay away! I should have done the same after reading the reviews but decided to give it a shot. The sheets and blankets were stained! If I wasn't exhausted from my travels, I would have left. There is a reason that it states "no refund" after you check in!! Also, they had a small dog tied up on a short leash with NO access to water! And it was over 95 degrees out! Now the final kicker is that I noticed after checking out and about 1/2 hour away that I didn't have my drivers license, I turned around and went back and they had it!! Need better management at this place!!!

I had no problems it's a nice room, and other guests that stay there a bit longer were really helpful. But I did see bed bugs in my bed.. My friend didn't have any in her room.. so little bad luck there... Other than that, the rooms looked clean.. Wish I could rate it better but bedbugs are a no...

Not a bad place for a quick nap. Papa is a really good old guy and was very protective of us. We came in after the storm for clean up. We have seen much worst 🤣.
