Western Inn-Baker

Room has roaches. Floor was nasty, turned my socks black, sheets dirty (actually found food crumbs in them). That’s what you get when you get a cheap room I guess. Staff was really nice. Room was only 66.00

My husband and were in Baker LA for a couple of days for his work. We stopped at Western Inn, the price seemed great and the outside looked very nice. We rented a room for about $74. We went inside and it was disgusting!!! The floors had not been vaccumed, the furniture was falling apart, there was a white substance all over the table and chairs, and the bathroom was not clean! We didn't even touch the bed, but Im sure they dont wash the sheets very often if they dont even wipe off the tables. After being totally grossed out by the room, we went right back to the front desk and requested a refund. They said they do not give refunds. I argued with the very RUDE manager, Ashley, for about 20 min. I called the police, they came out and filed a report, checked the room ( The officer would not

Stopped in the area for one night. The woman at the counter was sitting playing on her phone barely acknowledged me when I came in. Prices were higher in person, so I booked using a 3rd party. I had to ask her several times to check for my reservation. After about 10 minutes of waiting, she gave us our room key. The whole hotel area smells of pot and cigarette smoke, including the non-smoking room. Floor is carpet, bedding had smoke holes and stains. Water was hot. However, the pressure was extremely low. Phone numbers written all over the walls, cigarette burns on furniture, sink and bedding. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable enough to get plenty of sleep, with no bugs in the room. Plenty of TV channels and a Domino's Pizza within walking distance.

We stayed here for 9 days just a few weeks ago and it was great especially for the price. It was recently renovated. The rooms were clean, no bugs and everyone was nice and super helpful. I met the owner and she was very friendly and helpful as well. When we first went in our room there was a musty smell, but once we cleaned the air filter in the AC it went away. But honestly I have to do that at just about every hotel I stayed in and I travel a lot for work so that is normal. Overall, great stay, comfortable King size bed at just over $300 a week.
