West Bank Inn

This hotel is true to its promotion - every room has a private balcony overlooking Grand Lake. It is also tucked away along a boardwalk conveniently located near a family-friendly restaurant. First, to access your room from the parking lot you enter through steel door that was radiating from the sun’s heat - hot enough to burn your hands. Second, the minute we walked in the room we smelled a strong mildew odor - no hint even of fresh cleaning scents. When we asked, they came in and said they couldn’t smell it. Third, a similar stench was outside on the balcony. Fourth, the room did not appear to have been properly cleaned. The white paint on the bathroom door, and doorframes had visible dirt (like handprints) and the carpet looked like it was 100 years old. The sinks were outdated and over

This place served as an excellent home base to get away for a couple days and explore the craft breweries in the area. Nothing fancy here, but nothing trashy either. Everything was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Would definitely return; didn't get to enjoy the balcony in winter but that's extra value added to take in the lake during warmer weather.

What a great place for a recharge getaway. The Inn is right on the waterfront giving spectacular views from every room. The staff was so great and very accommodating as my one downfall is the walls are a bit thin and my neighbor had their TV on all day and night, but they were willing to move my room which made it the perfect peaceful escape. Would highly recommend even in the winter as it was a very quiet charming way to relax and unwind

This is a great little hotel with a wonderful balcony and view of the lake. The rooms were impeccably clean. Towels and bedding were new and clean. Front desk receptionist was friendly. Just an overnight stay for us as we travel south, but would stay again if we're in the area.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of our stay. Staff was super friendly, room was VERY clean, I mean like spotless clean. The carpet is outdated but if you like charming, this is your place to stay. Reasonably priced, a private patio facing the lake. We enjoyed everything about our stay.
