Made a reservation days prior, when we went to check in no one was even in the building for about 15 minutes. Girl eventually came in said no vacancy when there should be a room reserved for us. She told us there’s nothing she can do. THEN 20 minutes into our drive home 2 1/2 hours away they called and said they had a room. No thanks. Place looked disgusting anyway saved us the bed bugs
Super friendly staff and very nice room. We came to have a place to sleep but ended up also havinga very fun evening with the other guests and staff at the bar. Everybody was just super friendly.
First of all, it’s way overpriced….they charged us $156 + tax for a standard room & said it was because of the holiday weekend yet I went on the website and the same room for this same holiday weekend is $100! Basically, thin towels, coffee machine but no complimentary coffee and no complimentary shampoo or even a bar of soap! Paint is peeling, and overall cleanliness is lacking. We were tired so didn’t want to drive anymore so we got suckered in with the cold beer and food sign at the adjacent pub. Oh, well.
Good for a short trip but ….Really requires someone to do the room service. In our 10 days it got cleaned only once. The water flow was so slow it took ages for one person to shower.
I’m not usually the review writer type BUT I was really disappointed in the room at this place. We booked 4 rooms for one night. Last year we went to visit someone who stood there and we payed 10 dollars for the use of the pool. I didn’t stay there so I didn’t know what the rooms were like. When I booked this place I let everyone know to have an open mind as I knew this was a pretty old spot and it was a motel. However, that’s not an excuse for it to be dirty. The young lady who checked us in at the bar was a gem. Very nice, very helpful and accommodating. The owner is also very nice. This place has a lot of potential, but it’s filthy.
