Wendy Oaks RV Resort

Wendy Oaks is a darling little campground in Florence, Mississippi. We were traveling from Texas to Georgia and stopped here for two nights. You will love the owner, Melanie. She meets you upon arrival and provides all sorts of information about the area. We were in site #1 which offered a beautiful view of the small lake. The lake is private, so no license is required for fishing. My husband fished one evening (careful…lots of mosquitos) and then again the next morning with great success and a lot of fun. It is about 17 miles off route 20, so somewhat off the beaten track, but we felt it was worth it. Check out Melanie’s gnome and fairy gardens.

This was an absolute lovely spot to and relax for a couple days. The owner was very welcoming with a contagious smile. Bathrooms won’t win any beauty awards but they were clean, secure with hot water and great pressure. Great for dog walks. Easy on and off freeway. Would stop here again.

My fiancé and I moved here from Alabama and have been living at Wendy Oaks for about two months now, and we truly could not be happier with our decision. I’m a property manager by profession, so I tend to notice the details, and this place is run exactly how it should be. Melanie has been incredible to us from day one. She is welcoming, responsive, and genuinely cares about the residents here. She is the definition of what a property manager should be. The property itself is absolutely stunning. The lake is beautiful, and having free access to kayaks, canoes, and a paddle boat is such a great bonus and really adds to the experience of living here. Melanie was super friendly, got us checked in quickly and our site fit our 45 ft toy hauler without a problem. Right off Hwy 49 with easy pull in/out if you wait for the traffic to break. Nice area to walk around a small lake, pet friendly. A little bit of road noise but nothing to be worried about. Great price for the location!

We stay here every time we go through Jackson. The staff are friendly and helpful. The park is well kept and neet. The spots on the lake side are beautiful. You won't go wrong staying here.
