Wells River Motel

Room was clean. Bathroom was nicely tiled, but bedroom had gross old carpeting. I inspected both beds for bedbugs, didn't find any live ones, did see a few fecal marks from past bed bugs, the marks looked bleached/washed. I dont get why you'd keep using the sheet.

This place got unfair reviews from people for sure. The couple that own this place are super friendly. They live right on property. We asked them about the reviews and you could tell it upset them and it wasn't them. They even let us see the room before we went in. It was all hand picked decor and decorations by the wife. You could tell a lot of work was put in. The bathroom tile and shower were brand new. It was small but welcoming. A great place to stay especially if you are passing through like we were. There isn't anything to do on the property itself but there are couple of local places to eat. This is my go to location to stay at when I am in the area.|Owners are super nice people and very accommodating. |Room is always clean and comfortable.|They have been redoing the bathrooms and sprucing up the rooms.|There is a lot to see and to in the area and the location if very convenient.

Worst place I've ever stayed in MY LIFE and I'm middle aged and a housekeeper and laundry lady and have had my own cleaning business in the past. The people that own it or run it, whichever it is are the rudest, most unpleasant, and accusatory man and woman I've ever dealt with at a hotel. To start when I first got here and checked in, the man made sure to tell me 3 times in a matter of 2 mins to not smoke in the room, even though I told him right off that I had quit smoking over a year ago, the first time he said it, so right off at a great start with them basically calling their guests liars. I was there recently price to my opinion for what you get was a little hight but that wasn't the issue. There is one thing that i can't understand and of course can not except is the bathroom condition. This bathroom was more then disgusting, shower was so small and outdated very old and dirty bed was a lesser of an issue, wall were somewhat ok. I don't understand the mind set of motel owners, fot God's sake why you guys dont repair and renovate the bathrooms it is the most important fiture in any motel, make it bigger and make room smaller because you need the room to sleep and bathroom to clean up. Invest a little mony fix up the bathrooms and charge a little more customers will be happy to pay $20 more a night and leave you happy in the morning after, and recommends you to others. Well
