Food was very good...No AC for people that need it, but it works great without it couldn't believe it...Pub downstairs was cool too..Great place will be back.

My husband and I (68 & 65) visited here on a road trip from Pennsylvania. (Our first road trip since the pandemic hit). We stayed in Clayton, then came here for one night in June because the place in Clayton was all booked up on Friday night. You take the TI Bridge over from Alexandria Bay for $3.25. The island is 8 miles long. The hotel is old, creaky and cute. We had the St. Lawrence Suite (2nd floor - no elevator) with a queen bed in one room and a twin bed in the other room - so lots of room for the two of us. The restaurant was not opened, but across the street was The Guzzle, and also across the street is where you check in. There is a code on the front door to enter the hotel. There are huge wrap-a-round porches with green rocking chairs, and you can see the River from some

Second straight year staying on the island but first time at hotel, will have to go back next year. Breakfast was really good and endless mimosas. Thick burger like places used to do

We booked this a few weeks ago and were happy to be able to get rooms near the other families we were with. It is a beautiful old hotel. We wore masks in the common areas downstairs but the upstairs hall is so wide we could maintain distance and were able to keep with our group easily. There is a 2nd story porch that all can access which was perfect for eating breakfast before getting started for the day.||||The rooms were nice and clean. Remember it is an older hotel so the shower was small but clean and worked well. The rooms must have been updated some since some of the previous reviews because all our rooms (4 suites / 3 families) were very nice. There is no air conditioning but even in 85-90F weather it wasn’t bad with the ceiling fans and breeze. We had brought a fan anyways which
