There are 4 sites at this specific area of weiser state forest. Make sure you understand the following to see if its a good adventure for you or not. 1. You MUST use GPS Coordinates to get exactly to your site. 2. IF it Snows the roads you need may or may not be plowed. 3. Travel this area on a full tank of gas. 4. None of these sites are wheelchair accessible. 5. This is an active hunting area during various hunting seasons. 6. You will get lost. But you will get to your site eventually. 7. PRIMATIVE means exactly that. No one will hear you and you will hear no one. 8.Depending on the season there is some truck traffic. 9. The insanity that my family encountered at this campground was unacceptable. In maps, there were dozens of different locations, all about an HOUR away from one another. We went on a wild goose chase that led us to nowhere, and by the time we finally found the place, the sun was going down, and we thought that everything was going to work out after that. We set up our tent and tried to go to sleep, but around nine p.m., we started hearing GUNSHOTS extremely close to our campsite. We immediately packed up and left, and I can safely say that we won’t be returning.
