Weather Rock Campground

The bathrooms, showers, laundry, pool, hot tub, play ground, mini golf areas are horrific. Every good picture was from 8 years ago. And the office is forever closed you have to use the envelopes. He will call you back after you leave a message.

I hate to give bad reviews but this one had to be done in order to warn people away from Weather Rock Campground. Maybe a family of kids would enjoy this place with all its kitschy resin and cement animals and playground equipment and pool, and ignore the grungy bathrooms and lack of information about the campground - but by the the time we arrived on a Monday evening all we could think was: “there’s no place else to go so we’ll have to spend the night here.” Using the toilet was a must, but there was no way either of us would use the showers in the one bathroom in the overflowing campground. I can testify to the women’s side having 5 toilet stalls, three of which were padlocked - so that means just 2 toilets for probably 50 or more women. The 2 showers were pitifully non-private. On

This was, I'm sure, a hella of a campground to go to. Old news clippings in the office/main Hall show it in it's prime during the 70's, 80's and 90's. It is a little run down, but my time here (for work) was very nice. Full hookup, has washer and dryer facilities, and is very reasonably priced. The owner, a man who goes by Hillbilly Rick, is a very nice man who I could call for any questions, or if I needed any help. Will definitely be coming back here again if I work in this area in the future

I felt sad when spending the night at this Campground. It looked like a campground that once had its heyday, but has since been left to decay. Don't get me wrong, it is okay for a one-night stay. But it was not the $40 a night campground we were used to. The grass was mowed belatedly and piles of dead grass were everywhere. The restrooms had piles of bugs and you could tell they hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. What was once and entertaining miniature golf course is now in total disrepair with weeds growing throughout. Animal statues that used to thrill children have peeling paint and are dirty. Doors have peeling paint and are indicate. One door was strapped to stay open and was never shut throughout the night though it had a pool table and other things that could be destroye

Stayed here for three nights. Very friendly people, easy check in, you pick your spot. Pool is nice and clean and the grounds are well maintained. Only drawback for me is some of the really prettier and shady spots do not have sewer, but a dumps station is available if needed and for three or four days it is fine.
