Customer Reviews
We went for their Prime Rib dinner on a Friday night. The parking lot was full, but must have been people who were in the hotel because the restaurant was not busy at all. The food was good. Not as fancy as i.had expected however, it was a very comfortable little small town restaurant with good food, friendly servers and a nice atmosphere. It was quiet and we liked being able to converse without having to talk over loud conversations or music. We didnt have to wait long for the food and it was served hot. Dessert was available and we indulged. With tip, it did cost around $100 for two to dine and have the prime rib, but i think thats ballpark for an anniversary meal and not having to drive 45 minutes to a steak house was absolutely wonderful. I will take my friends her and I will g
We had ocassion to visit Honey Brook PA, we use to live there. We decided to stay at the "historic" Waynebrook Inn located in the center of town. A general evaluation of our room would be "tired". The room was a good size with a king bed. However there were numerous places where the wall paper was peeling, primarily at the seams. The furniture good use some simple TLC such as a scratch cover polish. Finally regarding the room in the bath room was the lowest toilet I ever experienced, it seems like it would be great for a school kindergarten restroom. We did not eat in the restaurant but did visit the lounge area which I thought was really fine, long bar counter with numerous stools (I did not count them but it seemed like 20-30) While we did not eat there we did review the menu, prices see
Positive: Close to where I needed to be. Negative: Needs updating, better pillows, better mattresses. No convenient place to plug in phone, etc
I imagine this is what beds feel like in prison. The mattress felt like I was sleeping on a floor with springs (which I realize appeals to some people). It is an old place, and they keep it this way. This is not vintage or rustic. It is cheap and old. The drop ceiling indicates a leak of some kind (pic). The elevator is broken, but I am sure that will be fixed. The hotel did notify is in advance and offer to cancel our reservation. It would not be so bad if they just put some memory foam pads over their mattresses, had pillows that were not pancake thin and hard, and the linens were purchased this decade. Oh, and if you want to watch TV from the bed, enjoy resting your head on then metal headboard. Otherwise the location is great and the price is affordable. If you are staying for one
The whole place is run down. The elevator is broke. The entire place smells like weed. The beds are like sleeping on concrete. Very disappointed. Cant even get a night refunded to go to a more suitable hotel. The staff at the bar was the only good thing about the entire place. The bathroom in the basement bar stunk like sewage as well. Stay anywhere but here.
