Watercress is a good spot on the river in Van Buren. A park setting that was donated by the City of Van Buren to the Forest Service in the 1960's to establish a Forest Service Center in Carter County. The Forest Service has very little presence in the City anymore. The location you have for Watercress is about 1-mile West of it's real location on the banks of the Current River on Watercress Drive.
We spend 2 weeks camping at Watercress each summer, favorite place to camp on the Current. This year we are enjoying our first time as camp hosts in May and June. Hope everyone enjoys their stay here and feel free to let us know how we are doing!
