Washington DC / Capitol KOA Holiday

We’ve stayed at this KOA for the last five years or so when attending Ren Fest, and it’s always been a reliable choice. Like most KOAs, the facilities are clean, well-maintained, and the service is consistently solid. We especially appreciate the cabin layout — close enough to the restrooms and showers to be convenient, but still spaced in a way that gives you some privacy and a bit of quiet. It strikes a nice balance between comfort and that “camping getaway” feel. Overall, you really can’t go wrong staying here. It’s become part of our Ren Fest tradition, and we’re happy to keep returning.

This is our first time staying here and it has been great for us! The amenities are nice and clean. The grounds are maintained and the staff is super friendly! Izzy was so kind and helped us add a few more days to our reservation. We had an issue with our camper and David was extremely helpful! He went above and beyond to help us. When we come back we will definitely stay here again and look forward to seeing the kind staff we encountered!

Stayed in cabin 202 for a Fri - Sun and on our last morning we found a bed bug on our clothing. While they gave a refund it does not come close to cover the time and energy of remediating all of our clothing, sheets, and blankets. We also had to throw out items that could not be cleaned properly and now have to replace them (pillows, shoes, etc). My husband has 23 bites over the course of 2 nights. They burn and itch very badly.||I truly hope this was a hiccup for them and they go through correct methods of having the cabin treated properly.||UPDATE: A recount of the bites - my husband has 31 bites so far. The remediation of all of our items is exhausting. All the blankets, clothing, suit cases, all the other items we used in the cabin needs to be cleaned. We had to throw out our shoes bec

Living on the road in an RV is always a challenge when there is a special event to attend to in a major city like Baltimore. As a member of KOA, I always look for places that are nearby and rent a car. I will tell you this is the best place to stay as rental car agencies are nearby in those moments. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There are a lot of activities for families, specifically for children to enjoy their time there as well. When I return whether to Baltimore or to DC itself, I will surely consider staying there again !

45 to an hour from D/C. Doesn't seem to have a camp host on site - at least 2 nights cabin renters played music late into the night loud enough to hear inside my RV - had a cabin camper blocking my exit - called left a message did not get a call back - an hour later I stopped an employee and asked him to ask the campers to move their car. I don't think I'll be back. Staff were very nice and friendly. Campground was a bit worn especially where we were.
