Right before the 50th year someone went and ruined this spot. The Victor Valley Gem and Mineral Club is an amazing group, they're always so friendly and happy to teach you everything you could want to know. I've been going to the tailgate for 20+ years and it's always soo fun. I'm pretty disappointed they'll have to find somewhere new.
It was windy & dusty & I hated the rough & bumpy ride to get there, but it was so worth it! The treasures were wonderful to look at. There was a variety of vendors there. I met so many nice people & thoroughly enjoyed the weekend! I really wish it wasn't so far out in the boondocks 🙃 😅
Very interesting. The Victor Valley Rock and Mineral Club tailgate had every kind of rock, fossil and gemstone you could imagine. My family and I had a great time.
Great fun and great people. Picked up some great rocks to tumble. But the road there was rough, bring a vehicle with clearance.
If you get the chance you really own it your self to check this out, its only once a year in March on the 2nd weekend.
