Village At Izatys Association

We've stayed here each of most winters and really enjoy it here. Not busy at all this time of year in January, so was very relaxing. We hadn't stayed in this unit before and we're quite happy with *almost* everything. We were disappointed that an advertised hot tub couldn't be made available, so I hope they update their listing since that seems to be the long term status.

We met family in MN at Izatys. Originally we were going to have an Air B&B but my husband called the resort and they said they had this place and it was a bit less money, so he booked it. What a mistake! Starting at the desk, as we were being checked in the lady told us how to get there, to the WRONG building. Then we couldn't find Unit 245 . After driving all around we had to call to get correct directions, back to the main road and down another. When we arrived we immediately were faced with thousands of bugs all over the outside door and walls. Upon entering we were hit with an odor which didn't last long, probably due to being closed up. The 2 or 3 bedroom townhouse is very nicely sized! However the well water is a big turnoff. We mentioned it repeatedly and was just told that's the way it is in the whole area. We decided not to shower, bought bottles of water for drinking and making coffee and tea. We couldn't use the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom because the hot water smelled like rotten eggs and had a brown color. Unfortunately won't be back until they fix.

Booked a week stay July 2025. We went for the proximity to Lake Mille Lacs and for the amenities. The pool has been a focal point in the past. No pool, no tennis no pickle ball. Accommodations were average. Had a week rental and left 2 days early. We will be looking elsewhere next year

Great place to stay, but you WILL be driving for a few minutes to reach any grocery shopping or restaurants. Pretty secluded. There's some sort of problem with the new management though, with a great deal of confusion between what parts of the resort are available to which units. So make sure you know exactly what you'll have access to before you reserve, at least until they figure that out.
