Victorian Inn

I've been staying here for years, my family is from Superior. I knew the motel had sold recently, but this was the first time I've stayed since it sold. Upon check-in, the person checking us in didn't know which room had which bed type (we booked 2 rooms). I filled out my name and phone number on a piece of paper and was given a carbon copy of my own name and phone number. (?) There was used soap on the tub corner and after showering, the mirror fogged up and the phrase "I see you" was visible in the mirror. I take both of these to mean the bathroom had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. When we pulled the blankets back, there was no flat sheet on our bed. Only a fitted sheet and blankets. Disappointing as this was a great place but the new owners have killed it. Absolutely no amenities. No TV that works, no breakfast hell they dont even turn the lights on in the lobby. If you can find another place to stay it will be better. They do keep the prices up there to boot.

I had an amazing stay here! The rooms are absolutely beautiful, very well maintained and thoughtfully designed. The service was excellent, and the hospitality made me feel truly at home. The owners are warm, welcoming, and go above and beyond to ensure guests have the best experience. Truly one of the most beautiful stays I’ve had – highly recommended!

Beds are terrible. No coffee pot or microwave in rooms. AC and Heat don’t work properly and sometimes not at all. Expensive for what is offered. My popup camper with my buddy heater is more comfortable in the middle of winter.

It is the only motel around for many miles. The owner is very nice. There is the “inn,” a two story building built maybe 20 years ago. Curiously decorated rooms (garish?). My brother and his wife had a swing in their room. Colors are “interesting.” Decorated in more the B&B style (sans breakfast). I stayed in the motel section which has been around *forever* (I was born here in 1948, moved away at age 3 but returned on family reunions). Bed was hard. Carpet needs replacing (owner said he is “working through the floor coverings room by room”). In short, it is low budget. Clean. Meets my need. Office has coffee, crackers, instant oatmeal, yogurt, waters.
