Vermilion River Cottages

I just did a river Canoe trip and Sara was super helpful with the shuttle. She humored all my questions about the area and was super helpful in making sure i had a successful trip.

This place used to be awesome. The previous owners would make sure you were taken care of and happy. Trash was removed every morning if you had a bag outside, dock was ready for use, walking boards were placed down and ready to use if the water level was low. It was fantastic. I loved going here and was always sad to leave. The new owners are a couple kids who don't do anything. Trash would pile up, the dock was about 2 feet above the water level, (I had to make a serious stink to have them adjust the height so we could utilize the dock, and they had a fit that they had to do some work) the fish house stunk something serious because the guts were piling up in the trash. There was no cleaner to clean up after yourself in the fish house. Maintenance was nothing at best. The only time we see

An absolutely wonderful place. The cottages are clean and home like. We caught fish every day. The owners couldn't have been more pleasant and hospitable to us. Even my teenager enjoyed his time away from video games and cell phones. Only regret was we didn't book the cabin for longer. We will most definitely be back next year.

Such a beautiful cabin! We went in the canoe up the river, we could've spent hours exploring the area. Cell service is pretty limited up there but we found it to be very freeing. The owners have a spot that you can launch from about 15 minutes from the cabin. We will definitely come back here in the future.

Really enjoyed our stay. Quiet area, awesome sounds from the river. Mike and Tammie are very accommodating. First time Muskie fishing. We caught a 50 incher! We will be back!
