Van Zandt's Redwood View Resort

We stayed in one of the cabins that had an outhouse we used for bathrooms and showers. Very simple setup right below a redwood Grove. The place is situated along a river so we could walk there easily and take the dog and ourselves for a quick swim and chill around the river during the day. Quick drive to get some grub in the area. Great hosts who provided us with everything we needed. We forgot a pan and she was able to lend us one to cook with. If you have kids they have a large playground for the kids to use. Very comfortable bed and accomodations for rate you pay. Highly recommend

This place was absolutely relaxing! There are 4 cabins they rent out. Great space between each one for privacy. We spent hours on that porch Star gazing and moon & sun bathing . Kitchen is well stocked for all your needs. Altho visually the beds can be better, i slept like a baby!

This place has been around since the 1930's under the same family management all that time. The cabins are clean and rustic but not fancy. The large open field and play structures are great for kids and kid friendly dogs. There is ping png and horseshoes and even free wireless internet good enough for checking email but not fast enough for streaming. The Swimming Hole in the river that runs through the property is one of the best and the redwood groves are great for picnics out of the heat. A great family place to relax and have fun but don't expect fancy.

What a great spot! Super kid-friendly, a great place to enjoy the quiet. Very basic but clean & homey accommodations, play-structure/badminton/ping pong/horseshoes, trees to climb, beautiful redwood deck, and one of the best swimming holes around just a quick walk away. Really could not recommend more.

Exactly how I remembered from 40 years ago. Which is good and not so good. My suggestions was air condition small unit it was very hot and a microwave. Great place for families. Book 1 and 1/2 years in advance.
