Vacationland Estates

Had a great time with friends, our unit slept up to 6, it was perfect for 4. The unit, hot tub and pool were reasonably clean and the stuff friendly and helpful.we brought groceries with us thankfully because dining out was very limited. But if you don't mind a wee travel, check out Salted Butter Farm. The food was good, drinks were great and staff/owners were lovely. All and all a great mini vaca.

A very quiet week here Aug 16-23, unit 74. We had the entire building to ourselves most of the week. Beds are comfortable and unit is clean (but kitchen and bathrooms are dated but it’s Maine and the place has its charm). The townhouse has everything we needed. Until had AC and lots of windows. Nice new composite decking outside our sliders overlooking the 18th hole. The property has an easement access with a small dock on lake pleasant where we spent most of our afternoons. We brought up rafts and googles and the kids loved how clear the water was and how far we could see. No restroom at the lake but it’s a quick drive back to the property for shuttling the family back. The worst lodging experience! Can see through lining of curtains. Old mattresses. Dog poop on our balcony. Couch unforgettable and years old. Pillow old. Sink rusted. What else?

What a wonderful time spent at Vacationland Estates in northern Island Falls, ME. If you like the outdoors (hiking, boating, swimming, SUP, kayak, snowmobiling), then this is the place for you. Quiet, safe, relaxing. The condos are impeccably clean. While the buildings are from the 1980s, they have been well maintained and the units are extremely well stocked. Kitchen had every pan, utensil, and accessory I needed. Air conditioning worked perfectly and kept it nice and cool inside. Hot water and good shower pressure. Beautiful views of the mountains in the distance. I had a small maintenance issue one day and when called, the maintenance person showed up at my door 2 minutes later and fixed the issue within minutes. My daughter in law and grand children loved staying here for a week in Maine. They found a beautiful lake and beach and great falls within a 90 minute's drive. My husband and I have often stayed at this resort also and enjoyed it. Although in the Spring, we were joined by mice coming in! Maintenance took care of them!
