Truly paradise. I can't wait to go back to the serenity of the mountains. The few people we met were lovely, the landscape was awe inspiring, the wildlife was incredible, and the hot spring was rejuvenating.
Staff were excellent and very accommodating. I got my fire and backpacking permits very quickly. They were very helpful in making sure I knew where to go to get to the trailhead. We had a terrific weekend!
Badly burned in 2020, but signs of life!
Repeated a really great loop with a couple of friends in early June this year. Tons on waterfalls as we bushwhacked up Crown Creek to Crown Basin. We descended into Blackcap Creek and then up to Half Moon Lake, and over to Woodchuck Trail. Many trails, however, are lacking attention as it seems it's been years since some trails have been maintained.
If you love the mountains, then this is for you. So many different things to do.
