Good public campground site Make sure you hit in the middle of the week to avoid crowds even in the fall in the winter it's closed starting November 1st. It's $20 a night by box, but if you sneak out of there early enough you can get away with leaving an envelope with a little heart sticker inside. Just teasing ♥️
Kids love the rope swings and is a great ride in the rzr. Several hood trails to hike. You can't go wrong.
A nice and spacious campground! We fit six tents on the site. There was great shade and the benches and tables throughout the site were awesome. The bathroom stinks a lot (it's a vault toilet) and there isn't any toilet paper, so bring your own and hold your breath haha. The creek next to it was fun too!
It was pretty nice! It's an absolutely gorgeous canyon. It goes from desert to lush greenery and pines and it's just gorgeous. The only thing I didn't like was that it was difficult to find info on the campground and when we were there, there was a large amount of stinging nettle right by the picnic table--So hard as we tried, our poor kids kept accidentally touching it. We only stayed one night.
The group site was glorious. The rope swing was a bonus. Wade is always helpful and careful. We had used his services earlier in the summer. The bathrooms were tucked out of the way and that was nice. The bridge to the campsite is rustic and charming. The nearby climbing routes were intriguing and enticing. The drive to the camp is scenic and pretty. We had locations for several in our group to hang hammocks. There is a drought so the stream that borders the site was low. Nevertheless, we had the wonderful sounds of a singing brook all night long. Of course there is no potable water so be sure and plan ahead for that. There is a wonderful fire pit and ring with nice seating all around. That became our gathering place. We played pickle ball and told stories around the fire. Happi
