Untamed Acres

We booked 3 tents for our family. We had the whole campsite to ourselves. It was just beautiful and the tents provided plenty of space for us. We appreciated and used the fire pit and picnic tables. The kids loved the bouncy play balls. Unfortunately the temperature dropped to 46 degrees and we were a little unprepared with just blankets. Bring sleeping bags if the temp is projected to get below 50. You are sleeping on blow up mattresses with cold air below you. We heard the wolves early in the morning…really cool experience! Port O lets were clean.

My granddaughters and I had a wonderful glamping experience at Untamed Acres. The girls loved the tent and camp site. Plenty of room to run and play. We could heard the wolves howl at Tigers for Tomorrow several times. We heard the lions roar in the evening. We will be back.

Fantastic Stay at Untamed Acres! We had an absolutely wonderful time at Untamed Acres. Communication with Susan was clear and easy from the very beginning. We booked ahead of time, and the process couldn’t have been smoother. Susan told us exactly where to go and provided an entry code for the gated campground, which made checking in a breeze. There was some construction going on—they’re adding bathrooms, showers, a small stage area, and more—but it didn’t interfere with our stay at all. We were able to hike the trails and really enjoyed listening to the animals from the preserve next door. That made the experience even more unique. All in all, we had a fantastic several-day stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic time camping at Untamed Acres this weekend! Susan was so fast to answer all of our questions and bring able to hear the lions roar at night around the campfire under all of the stars was truly magical. We loved that everything was gated and secure. All of the hookups were in great locations and having the pull through spots for our camper was super convenient. We checked out Tigers for Tomorrow while here and were not disappointed. This will definitely be a campground we come back to often! With it being only an hour and a half from Birmingham and super close to so many cool places, it’s the perfect weekend getaway!

Unfortunately this was not a successful trip. We booked weeks in advanced and locked in our spot for an additional 10.00 fee. We arrived and there were only two other RVs and many open spaces (10+), however one of the two RVs was parked in the spot we reserved. We patiently waited for 30 min for response from management on what to do and had no response - so we left and are heading somewhere else. There is no check in office and communication is only through phone/text/email.
