It's a lovely campground along the river with eight sites. The campground is split into two parts by a marsh, and the vault toilet for sites 1-4 was out of order. We stayed in the 5-8 section and there was no toilet paper. The natural surroundings were beautiful, and the river was accessible from sites 6-8. The largest con was the trash left behind by others: water bottles, cigarette butts, and an entire broken camp chair.

Nice! But be aware that once you get there it says no trailers! And unless you have a small trailer you probably wont get around the corners. I was dismayed when I got there with a 36" horse trailer and found there was limmited places to even get turned back. around to get back out. And you wont get through the campground with it. Oh yeah! And also be aware, I heard a mountain lion just above me on the hillside while I was walking on the road in the dark! I kept my flashlight on from then on Edit: a daytime walk around revealing it has been abused as of late! Abandoned car with bullet holes in trunk. Vault toilets unclean! Campsites full of garbage.

Because it just an amazing camp ground cuz you can hike out far but there is one water snake and some ground snakes but you rarely see them but that all.

Very quiet. Stayed here the second week in June (Sun and Mon nights) and we were the only one there the first night and one of the two on the second night. There were logs cut and piled up throughout the loop (we didn’t use them as we didn’t have any saw or axe.) there was a water station in the second loop area (site #5-10) which we didn’t use. The access between the site#1-4 and #5-10 were blocked off due to it being flooded (hence we didn’t realize there was the second loop for this campground when we drove at dusk). If you are looking for a nice getaway away from noises this place is perfect. Just pack well and fill up gas because your closest resupply area would be an hour away.

This is a beautiful campsite, we went towards the end of the season so it was pretty secluded. Even during a busy time, the sites are spaced well and there are septic 3 septic toilets a short walk away. My only advice is to not follow the google map directions coming from La Grande. The dirt roads it directs you to take are either blocked off as trails or no longer maintained. I ended up lost on dirt roads with no service and had to make my way back out and find other directions coming from Pendleton/ Bingham Springs area.
