It's a very nice camp ground. It clean and has some real nice views from the camp sites. Many are right on the lake with a nice view of the lake stayed here several times when heading to louisiana. The gate people are always very nice and helpful.camp sites are nice size and easy to it into.
Camp site was clean as always. Very quite we have always enjoyed corp. campgrounds. However, the bath house near site 33 was terrible. Floors nasty, shower curtains stained curtain rods rusted. Honestly the toilet was clean and sinks also but everything else was pretty disgusting. We have used this campground and springfield many times always good experience, but, whoever is supposed to be cleaning the facilities either are not cleaning them or doing a horrible job. In the past you could go into the bath house and you could smell where someone has been into them cleaning and you could smell bleach, this bath house was terrible. Need to go back to volunteers cleaning they did a much better job.
If I am down that way again, I will definitely be back. I like that the gate people keep a good eye on things. I had site 25. Beach access on my side, water view on the other, ample space in my camp site, and having electric was great. The bathroom was perfectly fine. I can be a little bit of a princess about that but it was clean. The shower was also fine (Don forget your shower shoes) in size, water temp, and the water pressure was fine. It was mostly quiet and it's clean and peaceful. I like that it was dog friendly too since I was traveling to a competition at the Garrison building.
What a lovely campground! We stayed over with friends and my sister. Every site is absolutely beautiful with lake views. The bathrooms were very clean. The sites was spotless, the lake and sunsets were gorgeous! We traveled 2.5 hours from Georgia and we will definitely be back.
This is a beautiful campground with numerous sites with full lake views. Many of the sites also have easy access directly to the lake. The campground also has a nice boat ramp and a protected swim beach. With 50 amp service and water at the site, it was an ideal spot to spend a few days enjoying the lake. We stayed on Site #85. Back-in, 50/30/20, water with good pressure and flow rate (6GPM), no sewer. Gravel pad. Picnic table on large gravel patio, fire pit, pedestal grill. Site long enough for coach and car. Heavily shaded. Great privacy, no other sites close by. Great view of the lake and easy access to get the kayaks to the water. Two car parking spaces adjacent to site. Site is ideally positioned for views of the sunset over the lake. The site is bordered by Trex landscape
