We came in on a December (off season) Sunday afternoon and left Monday morning. The best part of Turtle Rock is its location. We had a site with a full view of Hunter Creek, which is more like a small river. It was a quick walk to the ocean, which was so much fun. The RV park set up is like many others not too crowded, but they pack them in. They also have a number of small cottages that you can rent. Some of the sites and cottages have a hot tub, which is a nice feature. There is a main building that has individual bathrooms/showers. We could not get any hot water for the shower in one of the bathrooms. The trash bins were quite full but we were still able to get our trash bag in. Seems to be a safe, clean, fairly quiet RV park, price was in low $70. We will be coming back and we’ll make

We stayed in a cabin with a loft, came to town to see the Christmas lights. |Pros: clean, nicely made comfortable beds, hot shower, pretty spacious and they let us check in a bit early. Hot tub was hot and functioning!|Cons: the cabin was FREEZING, we set the heaters at 95 and it took until the next day to be warm enough. There was only one extra blanket in the cabin. Coffee was stale and powdered cream and sugar was solidified. It was a rainy weekend so we were stuck inside and it was a bummer the restaurant has closed. The cable did not work and the TV would not connect to Netflix so our kids were kind of bored with the rainy weather. |Overall it was a good stay for what we paid.

Great location, quiet, and easy access to the beach with a beautiful river flowing right by. During most of the year, the river is a very slow flowing and safe. Great to paddleboard on. RV spaces are good sized and the beauty of the area is just great overall.

We were lucky to have 4 sites for our group, 3 of which were next to each other. That made our stay very nice. Our sites overlooked the creek next to campground. If we were not next to water, don't think we have enjoyed as much. It was so nice to be able to easily view the otter and waterfowl activity from our sites. |The staff at the front office was incredibly helpful. One person's vehicle in our party would not start and the team at Turtle Rock helped with jumper cables and a personal vehicle to help out. Easy access to beach. The noise from highway is muffled and definitely not too loud for sleeping soundly at night.

Us 2 couples camped with our trailers for 3 days at this RV resort and had a super time. I went for the riverfront site adjacent to the short trail to the ocean (#34) and our friends took a site with a jacuzzi, deck, and gas grill (#30). Full hookups, level sites, and some grass at most sites. Bathrooms were spotless with private individual rooms. At the entrance there is a breakfast cafe and Arch Rock Brewery tasting room where they used to have a Mexican restaurant. A short trail leads to the beach which is a great place to walk. The trail does have one slightly tricky spot where you climb on a few rocks. If you don't have an RV there are many tiny homes that you could stay in. I would highly recommend
