Turtle Mountain Resort

We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived to the day we left. The 1 bedroom cabins (we rented two) were clean, cozy, and had all the basic necessities. The showers have good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Each cabin had it's own BBQ (propane provided) and in ground fire pit. The self guided walking trails (5 minute walk from the cabins) are well maintained with many things to explore. The main beach is a 3 minute walk from the cabins and has a playground for children, picnic tables and washrooms. There is also a diving dock for those enthusiastic swimmers. There is a store (across from the cabins) with snacks, basic grocery items and a wide selection of spirits, beer and wine. In the back of the store is a small restaurant with very unique menu items and the food is delicious. T

Owners and staff are very friendly, restaurant was great and the area is beautiful. We were dissappointed with the view and deck. Hoping the deck would be facing the lake. Instead it was facing a common area, looking at the other cabins, repairs and blue tarp. Not very private, everyone can see your business. They sell wood but the logs were small and not very much wood for $10. It advertises a coffee maker so we brought coffee, however it's only a single cup maker and doesn't take loose coffee, custom pouches only. Store sells booze which is nice and there is satellite.

My wife and I took a motorcycle trip down to Metigoshe, not knowing if there was a place to eat. While the grocery store is very small and the restaurant seems more geared toward takeout (only 4 tables), I can honestly say they have the best burgers I've had in years!

So far I've enjoyed the Heritage Burger and a chicken sandwich. Both were EXCELLENT, and the fries are crispy. Full marks!

We enjoy our stay at Turtle Mountain Report. The staff were very helpful before and during our stay. The room was well equipped and the service was excellent. The location of our room was perfect. As soon as you come out of the resort, we just need to walk 5 min there is a direct path leading to the beach. The location in less then 30min from Turtle Mountain Provincial Park with additional Lakes and Hikes their. It was really wonderful vacation.
