30 minutes before we checked in for our tent spot, a giant hail storm came through dropping a couple inches of hail. In July!! The staff called us immediately and told us there was no way we'd be able to set up and text out there, and offered us one of their small cabins for no extra charge!! They were so kind and helpful and we couldn't have had a better experience. The bathrooms were clean and stocked and the cabin was adorable! :) Thanks, Turquoise Trails, we enjoyed spending Christmas in July with you!

I’ve stayed at many rv parks. This is definitely one of the top places I’ve stayed. The receptionist was a very kind gentle spirited Australian woman. Her vibe was genuine not forced or masked. The place is a bit older, but that doesn’t lessen the way I feel aboot it. It’s only about an 8 min drive from HW-40. I noticed in a review someone mentioned “quarter operated” showers. It’s actually (7 min per coin) coin operated. They gave me a couple with my stay (I’m not sure if that’s per person, that would make sense). I only stayed 1 night and the lady was kind enough to give me 3 when I asked. The bathroom building was very warm and cozy (heated with a heater). Plenty of natural lighting along with the option of💡was a plus. Something that was relieving was that I couldn’t hear any vehicle

A Tranquil High Desert Escape in the Sandia Mountains The Turquoise Trail Campground is truly a gem, offering the perfect blend of high-desert tranquility and convenient access to Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Nestled at 7,000 feet in the cool, pinon- and cedar-covered forests of the Sandia Mountains, this spot immediately makes you feel "7,000' Above Stress Level," just as they advertise. What stands out most is the atmosphere. The campground is quiet, well-maintained, and features charming, clearly separated areas for RVs (many with full hookups) and tent campers. The tent sites, tucked away in their own wooded loops, provide a peaceful, secluded experience with dedicated access to clean restrooms and hot showers. The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful, adding to the welcoming, q

I'm super appreciative to the really friendly staff who got me checked in at the last second. But I must say, $65 bucks a night for this place is a joke!!! This is not a recreational site it feels more like a trailer park. I was debating staying in the walmart parking lot but I reserved this at the last second and I hate to say it, but I wish I had stayed in the walmart parking lot! I actually would have had more privacy and more space to let my dogs out. And it would have been free! My biggest complaint are the goat heads. I have three dogs, a heads up or a warning about the goat heads would have been appreciated. And if you don't know what I'm talking about, goatheads are those little hard seeds that have spikes, and when you step on them, it hurts very bad. I've been picking them out o
