Tru by Hilton Miami West Brickell

The hotel is strategically located; the trolley stops right in front, making it easy to get around and quickly reach Downtown. Best of all, it's pet-friendly. Breakfast is good, with a great variety. I especially loved the cereal and the oatmeal. I also want to highlight the housekeeping service, particularly that of Mrs. Arlen, who was very courteous and attentive. The hotel has a swimming pool if you want to take a dip and a comfortable gym. Finally, I want to commend the front desk staff: Pedro is very attentive and helpful, always willing to assist, he has a great attitude, and he answers any questions! Great stay, great service. Breakfast is quite decent too abd included as part of the room price. If they included a kettle on the room then that would have been great. Communication with the housekeeper is difficult though as they dont really speak English.

I had a decent stay at this property in October 2025 and would give it a solid thumbs-up, particularly given the excellent location and price point. This hotel clearly seems to be very popular with cruisers, and it’s an ideal, modern base if you're stopping in Miami before or after a trip from the port. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was both friendly and attentive, which made for a great start to my visit. My room was extremely clean, and I have to give a huge shout-out to the 8th floor housekeeping staff for their meticulous work. The room was modern enough, featuring some fantastic amenities I genuinely enjoyed. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the staff there. My wife and I were supposed to stay there for 2 days prior to leaving for a 9 day cruise (then one more day on the back end before flying home). On the day we were to check-out and head to the cruise port, I started vomiting and experiencing severe stomach pain. We had to call 911 because I could barely move much less stand and walk. We were already packed and set to check out so the paramedics handed our luggage off to hotel staff and asked them to store it since we were headed to the hospital. I ended up needing emergency surgery and staying in the hospital 2 nights. While in the hospital, I booked several more days at the same Tru hotel and contacted them by text to explain the situation. We stayed one night prior to the departure of our cruise. The hotel is clean and modern. Our room was a nice size (4 of us with 2 queen beds), and I appreciated that there was no carpet in the rooms. The complimentary breakfast was minimal but got the job done and was convenient before leaving for port. The hotel is in a convenient location and felt safe. We were able to walk to multiple dining options, as well as a liquor store and grocery store (great for last minute items). We also were able to walk to the central Brickell area closer to the water with no issues. In the morning, an easy Uber/Lyft ride got us to the port quickly. All in all, we had a great experience and wouldn't hesitate to stay here for future cruises.
