Front desk staff was friendly and professional. My room was booked under a supplier’s name (David Smith), and while that caused a short delay at check-in, it wasn’t a major issue and the staff handled it politely. The room itself was clean and well put together. That said, there are a few design and comfort issues that made the stay disappointing—especially given the weather conditions. There is no microwave in the room, and the mini-fridge does not get cold enough to be useful. More importantly, it was below zero outside, and the room was extremely cold. I turned the heater on and gave it about 30 minutes. When set to 70°F, the unit blew ice-cold air on one side and barely warmer air on the other. Excellent hotel on I 88. Very well maintained, beautiful lobby, clean rooms and other areas. Rooms are well maintained, bed was very comfortable, really liked the shower cabinet. The view of a highway and farm was beautiful. Check in was quick with all the necessary information. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Here is one thing i want to mention, here the staff always greet you. They are thankful that you are staying at their hotel. Breakfast was great. Breakfast lady Roberta was polite and very helpful. I have been to many hotels, but you will not see General manager. But this place is different. General manager came to me while having breakfast and asked me about my stay and overall experience. I stayed for two days and each staff member I spoke with was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I was impressed with the daily cleaning of the hallways and common areas as these spaces are often neglected in many hotels. The room itself was clean and met my former hotel employee standards. The location is conveniently 2-3 minutes from the highway and there are chain stores and restaurants nearby for any last minute needs. Will definitely stay again if I venture through northern Illinois in the future.

This hotel is less than a year old and is a welcome new addition to the Sterling, Dixon, Rock Falls area. It is upscale for the region and has a modern, playful design. The hotel is comfortable, spotless, and appears to be under excellent management. I had a great impression of every staff member I met. Both breakfast and parking are complimentary, as is 24-hour hot tea and coffee. It is conveniently located just off the major east/west tollway between Chicago and the Quad Cities and a short drive to downtown Dixon. The section of Interstate 88 between Dixon, Rock Falls, and points west is toll free. Its location provides easy access to the other major highways of routes 26, 30, and 2. This was my first time staying here, and I was very pleased to have found it.
