Tru by Hilton Corpus Christi South Padre Island Dr

I used the Hilton Honors App to select two rooms side by side. I arrived at 3pm. My rooms were not ready. I called at 645pm and was informed they just became available. 7:45pm I received notification my rooms were ready. We were informed we had two rooms on separate floors not what we asked for. The hot breakfast is eggs, vegan sausage, and pancakes. This was a one and done for me. We have high expectations of Hilton since we frequent the Embassy Suites.

The hotel itself is very pretty, and the parking is super accessible. I really loved how lively and cozy the lobby felt—there are snacks for purchase, plenty of seating, and even a free pool table, which was a fun touch. Our room was nice and included a small fridge, but unfortunately no microwave, which was disappointing since we had leftovers we wanted to heat up. The beds were a bit hard and lumpy, and the window shade didn’t fully close, letting in light early in the morning. Breakfast was nice, with decent options like eggs, sausage, cereal, and bagels. One of my favorite things was the 24/7 free hot coffee—it was delicious. We did run into an issue with the restroom having some mystery stains on the door handle and parts of the wall. Nice, clean hotel and it looks pretty new. They’ve got a coin laundry you can use which is convenient. Breakfast is decent. The lobby is a chill spot to hang out and there’s a pool table too. Overall, solid stay.

Positive: Very comfortable mattress and pillows. It was quiet at night and the blinds definitely kept the light out which made sleeping easy. Negative: Brown stains on the white bed cover when I pulled it back. I had to take it off!Other people's hair on shower walls. Very sticky floors.

Our room was extremely loud from people above us. We asked to be moved and they said that they couldn't. I asked to check out but they said that i would have to pay for the two nights. Our bathroom sink trickled water. Asked Paul at the front desk to have it fixed because we were there for 2 nights, and he said that they would take care of it. They never did. I don't think that I ever stayed at the worst hotel. We stayed 7 nights in Texas and all hilton. The rest were great
