Troy Motel

My brother and I stayed there for a couple of days while we hiked the area. The outside of the motel looks a little run down, but we were pleasantly surprised with our room. It was very clean and roomy. The room had everything we needed, microwave, refrigerator, a good shower with plenty of hot water. The beds were very comfortable, and a table and chairs in the corner. I would recommend this place and plan to stay there again.

This is a great spot if you want an affordable, clean room and a great chance to relive the days of small local motels. The rooms are simple but clean. The new owner Megan is super friendly and helpful and is really bringing this gem back into its own. Definitely reccomend if you're looking for an affordable simple spot along your journey!

Let me start off by saying this was the only motel near by and we had already paid when booked over the phone. They over booked and tried to get us to leave. Service at the front desk was laughable on our first visit up there. They gave us keys for our room and when we went to check it out, there were people in the room. So we were told to come back in 1.5 hours and our rooms would be ready. It is now 5 pm... We came back at 8, 3 HOURS LATER, and only one room was ready. The lady at the desk this time was different and she was very nice but still only had one room ready. We finally got checked into the second room at about 9 pm. There was a lot of tension with the first lady that was in the second room helping clean it at 9 pm and she was very upset that we were standing there waiting on h

If you are looking for a nice quiet out of the way friendly place to stay I recommend the Troy Motel. I was a guest there for the last two and a half years weekly due to work in the area. And I will admit in the beginning it was a little rough. But after upper management changed the hotel manager and staff,things have improved greatly, the staff is friendly and courteous and will accommodate you in any way they can. The rooms are kept well cleaned and there is constant upgrades going on. If you're passing through for a night or want to stay for a spell I highly recommend the Troy Motel

The location is ideal for the local attractions if there were any , thanks to Covid 19, however is still a draw for hunting season. I personally do not hunt, but needed to get away, I've stayed at the motel a handful of times, and upon arriving this time, the building looks the same....BUT I was shocked to discover that there was Wi-Fi in my room! It seems that every room now is enriched with that fine wifistuff; its about time! I would also like to mention that the room was clean, and smelled good, (shock!). The sheets and some blanket (blue) seems to have been replaced with new as well. Sure the place needs work, but much much improved! I'm curious to see what is different the next time I stay at the motel!
