Tropic Motel

Stayed there due to it being a last minute trip on 8-10-2024.. The room had a musky smell, the TV didn't work, the carpet wasn't the cleanest and the beds weren't that great. The only decent thing about the motel was the bathroom but would rather drive an extra 20 minutes out of the way than to stay at the tropic motel again.

I checked the beds first thing and there were bugs and stains in both. The entire room looked very used and dirty. I asked for a refund but of course they would not. I will be reporting the bed bugs and will not recommend this business to anyone.

Took my son to Port A for the weekend and happened upon this little motel. The price was excellent even for a room with two queen beds. The room was clean and the a/c kept room nice and cool. Just a short drive from the ocean and the man that runs it was very nice to us. Will definitely be going back.

i didnt look at the reviews before we checked in.. i wish i did. look at the pictures and see for yourself. If you have a sensitive nose, this place smells bad. however, my husband couldnt smell anything. **update... we just bought some febreeze and candles. hopefully it gets rid of the smell

We found this place last minute after out original place fell through, and we we're considering turning around and going home. We had a large groups and the tropic motel saved out vacation. Great price decent rooms. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. We will defiently will consider them again when we are down in this area..
